Adeeb Razzouk

Intimacy Coordinator, KIS Co-Founder (Arabic Speaking)

Syrian actor, voice-performer, experimental theatre-maker and Theatre of the Oppressed instructor Adeeb Razzouk is a Co-Founder of KIS. He graduated with his Bachelor in Acting from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Damascus, Syria, and went on to star in theatre, screen and voiceover roles in Syria and Lebanon, including Breathing, River of Madness, Beirut Wow, National Geographic and FIFA 2019. In Lebanon, he also became a facilitator and instructor of interactive theatre (Theatre of the Oppressed), specialising in refugees, community resistance and trauma healing. His Australian film and theatre credits include ABC’s House of Gods, SFAA’s Hamlet, Fingerless Theatre’s Just a Short Break in Hafgufa, and Theater Exentrique’s Tideline.

As an arts facilitator and youth worker for the Community Migrant Resource Centre, he produced Art Ground, a community arts event for CALD-identifying artists and performers, and the experimental online broadcast, Voice Memo, a sound collage of refugee experiences.

Coming from a strong technical background, his creative practice uses intersections of technology and theatre to tell stories that move and connect people across shared experiences, unpacking memory as a tool for healing. His solo performance work, Light Room, weaving technology and interactive theatre, featured as part of CuriousWorks’ Urban Stories and in SSI’s New Beginnings Festival.

Fluent in English and several Arabic dialects, Adeeb is thrilled to bring Intimacy Professionalism to the Arabic-speaking industry. His intimacy credits include shorts The Duke & The Raja, and A Room in the City, KXT’s Breathing Corpses, and several workshops for Poetry in Motion.
